Weight loss Tips

Step #1
PEP TALK
You need to start off by having a little chat with yourself.  Are you truly ready to commit to you!  You have to be HONEST with yourself.  Know that you are WORTH being happy and healthy.  I am not talking about eating salads everyday...but small changes YOU make will add up to BIG Success!  You may be like myself and put everyone else first.  Well you know what that got me... a Mom of 5, over weight, depressed, and not enjoying life UNTIL I started giving myself permission to take time out for ME!!!
ARE YOU READY TO LOSE WEIGHT AND START FINDING YOURSELF AGAIN?
Step #2
SET MINI GOALS & LONG TERM GOALS

When setting goals look at not just your fitness and health but everything that goes on in your life...job, kids, errands, girl time..LOL
I find writing my goals on a dry erase board is best...but anything that is visual will work!
Set mini goals and long term goal but please don't focus on the scale!  Mini Goals can be that you want to drink X amount of water a day and long term goals can be you want to do a 5K.  Setting Goals are important BUT if you dont FOLLOW through with those goals they are only Dreams...so FOLLOW THROUGH!

Step #3
Clean out that Kitchen
This may be hard for you to do...especially if there are family members who don't want to lose weight or need to.  Really take a look at what you have in your cub-bard and fridge!  You will be surprise how much JUNK you really have... from condiments and pasta's to sweets and stuff loaded with SALT!
Step #4
Lets Go Shopping!
When you shop try to stay in out
outside of the isles!
Step #5
WATER, WATER, WATER

Water is your best friend when you are trying to lose weight!  Rule of thumb Drink half your weight. Why you ask....
  • Initial weight loss is largely due to loss of water, and you need to drink an adequate amount of water in order to avoid dehydration.
  • The process of burning calories requires an adequate supply of water in order to function efficiently; dehydration slows down the fat-burning process.
  • Burning calories creates toxins (think of the exhaust coming out of your car), and water plays a vital role in flushing them out of your body.
  • Dehydration causes a reduction in blood volume; a reduction in blood volume causes a reduction in the supply of oxygen to your muscles; and a reduction in the supply of oxygen to your muscles can make you feel tired.
  • Water helps maintain muscle tone by assisting muscles in their ability to contract, and it lubricates your joints. Proper hydration can help reduce muscle and joint soreness when exercising.
  • A healthy (weight loss) diet includes a good amount of fiber. But while fiber is normally helpful to your digestive system, without adequate fluids it can cause constipation instead of helping to eliminate it.
  • Drinking water with a meal may make you feel full sooner and therefore satisfied eating less. Note, however, that drinking water alone may not have this effect. In order to feel satiated (not hungry), our bodies need bulk, calories and nutrients.

Step #6
Workout Accentual's
When starting a workout routine it is so important to have supportive shoes to help prevent injuries!
Also, I find it just as important to have a great workout Playlist!!

Step #8
